Panel PC EXPERT SBC Series – Stainless Steel Panel PCs for the Food and Pharmaceutical Industries
The FORSIS EXPERT SBC Series was developed for use in hygienic production environments where reliability and easy cleaning are essential. The stainless steel housing is smooth, crevice-free, and sealed to IP65, offering protection against moisture, dust, and splashing water. Depending on the model, the front panel can feature up to IP69K for additional protection during regular cleaning. The Panel PCs are available in various sizes from 15″ to 21.5″ with 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratios. The analog resistive or PCAP touchscreen allows operation even with gloves, and when wet. The EXPERT SBC Series is therefore suitable for data entry, visualization, and operation in wet or refrigerated areas of the food and pharmaceutical industries, where hygiene and reliability go hand in hand with functional flexibility.The EXPERT SBC stainless steel PC series is characterized by its extremely slim design – the compact form factor results in a shallow installation depth.
The cables for this device series are routed out the back and integrated into a cassette. The protection class of the connections depends on the protection variant selected by the customer. The front of the stainless steel PC generally has at least IP65 protection. Furthermore, the stainless steel PCs are also distinguished by the touchscreen technology used – into an analog-resistive and a multi-touch variant.

The analog-resistive touchscreen technology of the stainless steel PC can be operated with gloves. The film on the front of the glass carrier protects against splinters in the event of breakage.
If required, RFID readers can be integrated into or attached to the housing.
All connection cables for the EXPERT-SBC series stainless steel PCs are routed to the outside at the rear. The interfaces are located on the back of the device and are integrated into a recessed cassette. The connectors are protected by a stainless steel cover plate. This protects the connection area up to IP69.
This allows the cable routing in the system to be led directly from the wall to the stainless steel PC. Nevertheless, the viewing angle always remains individually adjustable – elaborate gantry systems or complex cable routing are therefore not required.
