Material and Construction of all FORSIS Device Series

FORSIS always uses steel sheet or stainless steel sheet housings for its enclosure designs. These housings are surface-treated depending on the application area.

Despite the sometimes extreme environmental influences on the housing, this part is fundamentally always the most durable of the entire device. Due to its long lifespan, a retrofit of the devices is usually guaranteed, and optimal recycling is possible at the end of the product life cycle.
The device design is modular, allowing individual components to be easily replaced or upgraded, which extends the product lifespan and conserves resources.

Energy Efficiency through Avoidance

For all FORSIS device series, due to the closed design of the device, power and consumption considerations are the primary rule. Heat should not be optimally dissipated, but rather, the optimal scenario is when it does not generate at all.
Therefore, only energy-efficient components are used. This particularly includes Intel® ULV processors of the 11th, 13th, and 15th generations with optimized power consumption.
Passive cooling systems avoid the use of mechanical fans and contribute to lower energy consumption and higher operational reliability.

Ease of Service

The housing technology is designed for easy maintenance. Replacement and repair can be carried out with minimal tool use.
Easy access to components reduces service times and the effort required from technical personnel.

Packaging and Transport

FORSIS device packaging consists of recyclable cardboard material. Plastic is only used where necessary for transport safety.
– Upon request, FORSIS GmbH also provides reusable packaging, especially for customers with regular deliveries.

Please also refer to our instructions for packaging our devices when returning them.

Take-back and Disposal

The take-back and proper disposal of devices at the end of their lifespan are carried out in accordance with the WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU) and the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG).
FORSIS GmbH is registered under WEEE registration number DE75330830.

However, in connection with the PANEL PCs and industrial computer systems manufactured by FORSIS, personal data is paramount. This means we are operating in the area of inductive coupling of transponders.
