Since the new WLAN Standard IEEE 802.11n was adopted on 12 September
2009, it has caused much turmoil in the mobile world.
FORSIS GmbH would like to briefly present the new standard. Our intent is to
point out not only new and manifold possibilities, but also problems.
The FORSIS models PROFI-M and MOBILE are used in a wide range of mobile
data acquisition situations on industrial trucks. This aerial technology will be
used in these models in particular but also in all other FORSIS industrial PCs. In
addition to implementing the n-standard, our objective was to develop a robust
aerial (safety class IP65).
It should fit all devices and increase the service life
of the entire IPC.
